How to get there...

There are a number of comecial flights to and from Panamá.  The city's airport is called Tocumen International airline code PTY.  It is large, well organized and eficient.  It is also the hub for Copa Airlines which makes it a great travel destination with Copa, Continental or Aero Republica, all sister airlines.

Please let us know how and when you are ariving so we can try and arange transportation for you, or at the very least give you an idea of the best way to get to your hotel and the estimated cost of the cab ride.

From Colombia (De Colombia):

Las dos aerolineas que vuelan a panama desde colombia son Avianca y Aero Republica o Copa.  Avianca vuela solo desde Bogota, mientras que Copa vuela desde Cali y Medellin.  El costo del tiquete actualmente se encuentra alrededor de los $500 Dolares incluyendo impuestos.

From the US:

You can reach Tocumen International with Delta, Continental or American Airlines.  You can get direct flights from New York, Atlanta, Miami, Orlando among others.  With so many options, you can consult a travel agent or my favorite check with www.kayak.com to get all the options.  Tickets start at around $420 round trip including taxes and surcharges.

Panamá city trully has something for everyone, from sightseeing, to shopping and eco-adevntures you are sure to find what you are looking for.  If you don't see it here let us know so we can hel you find what you are looking for.

Here are some of the options you have:

Panama Canal:  Every bit as impresive as the locals boast, worth the half day trip to see this modern marvel.


Panama la Vieja:  The old ruis of the original city, built in 1519 and then raided and bunt to the ground by the pirate Henry Morgan in 1671.


Casco Antiguo: After the orignial city was distroyed in 1671, the second city built in 1673 was finished, a walled city, almost a fort in itself. A beautiful example of colonial arquitecture.

Panamá is a very busy city, with thiving comerce and a frequent destination for tourist.  As a result you can expect to find all kinds of acomodation, from the fanciest hotels to modest "backpacking" lodging.

Hotels are in high demand in the city, so make sure you make reservations early.  If you need any special acomodation please let us know and we will try to help you get something that suits your needs and budget best.

Here are some recomended options:

Marriott Hotel: This is were the reception is being held, so you can get a better rate by teling the reservation agent you are with the Ross-Copete wedding.  This is a high end hotel and priced as such.  Rooms cost $129 plus tax with the special rate for friday and saturday.  All other nights cost $230 as the regular rate.

Four Points Sheraton: This hotel is well located and is mainly a business hotel. Rooms start around $170.

Miramar Intercontinental: One of the citys most luxurious hotels, bay front and some rooms have an ocean view. . Around $170
